A person may need to undergo various tests, doctor’s consultation, and other procedures before getting admitted to the hospital for treatment. Pre-hospitalization expenses include all these expenses incurred before the patient get hospitalized due to the same disease.

Similarly post-hospitalization cover includes those expenses which are incurred after the patient is discharged from the hospital. The insurance companies provide coverage to people up to 60 days post-discharge. These expenses can include medicine, follow-ups, tests, and other expenses.
