GMC policy is a health insurance policy that insures a group of people in case of hospitalization due to medical reasons

It stands for Group Personal Accident


GPA policy covers a group of people financially in case of an accident causing death or disability

What is covered

Expenses arising due to medical emergencies like the cost of hospitalizations, ambulance expenses, pre-post hospitalizations, day-care treatment, and other such expenses

What is not covered

HIV/AIDS, Cosmetic treatments, and Mental Illness are some of the exclusions of GMC Policy

Suicide, Criminal or illegal activities, Adventurous sports, and hazardous activities are some of the exclusions of the GPA policy

Scope

The scope is much wider here. GMC policy covers a range of offerings.

Even GPA policy can be an add-on

Comparatively, the scope is limited.

Pay-out

Insured can claim for any amount up to the sum assured

A lump sum is paid when the insured suffers an accident leading to death or disability
