Modified on Tue, 19 Jul, 2022 at 4:19 PM

Co-Payment is an arrangement in which the policyholder pays a portion of the medical expenses on their own, and the insurance company will pay the remaining amount.

For example: If there is a 20% co-payment in a GMC policy of Rs. 3,00,000 and a claim amount is Rs 1,00,000. In this case, Rs 80,000 will be paid by the insurance company while 20% of it, i.e., Rs 20,000, will be paid by the customer.
